Live radio broadcast of “The Mutual Manhattan Variety Cavalcade” from the Algonquin Hall of the Astor Hotel on December 21, 1942. Experience a time when the world was at war and pop music meant “Strike Up the Band “and” Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. “The harassed station manager faces a drunk singer, a delivery boy wants a chance in front of the microphone, the second banana taxi driver dreams of a singer’s ballad and the trumpeter chooses a plane gun over Glenn Miller.

Dave Koz & Friends Christmas Tour with Rebecca Jade

Rebecca Jade joins Dave Koz and friends to perform new interpretations of timeless Christmas classics, as well as a Hanukkah medley! – and hits from their respective catalogs.

Earlier this year, local singer Rebecca Jade co-produced her first solo project with Carnell Harrell (Jacksons, J-Lo), known for working with jazz icon Dave Koz. In turn, Koz added her to participate in his annual Dave Koz & Friends Christmas tour. Jade performed on Koz’s virtual vacation special in 2020, and she’ll be joining him at the downtown Balboa Theater, along with Jonathan Butler, Richard Elliot, and Rick Braun.
