Local hospital radio station Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd has been named Hospital Radio Station of the Year 2022 by the Hospital Broadcasting Association after winning gold at the National Hospital Radio Awards ceremony.
In an online ceremony on Monday evening, the judges of the National Hospital Radio Awards presented Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd with the prestigious award for their professional station and high quality programming, the judges said that “this station (Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd) demonstrates boundless warmth and positivity as an on-air voice.
All the variety of programming you would expect is in this entry and the quality of voice content is first class. What struck us most was simply the professional tone of a station we had never heard before – a truly enjoyable listen.

The Hospital Broadcasting Association is the national charity that supports and promotes hospital broadcasting in the UK.
There are currently over 170 individual hospital radio stations, representing thousands of volunteers.
Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd has been broadcasting since 1976 and celebrated its 45e Last year.
